Beth Moore going Seeker Sensitive?

Is Beth Moore starting to make seeker sensitive noises?

it is about to scroll off the archives so I downloaded the mp3.  Here is an excerpt:
"God says of himself in the book of Ezekiel that he has no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked. We ought not to have any pleasure of thinking that there is a judgement that's gonna be poured out upon this earth and that many will be consumed forever in that judgement. There oughtta be something in us that is ablaze to make sure that we have done everything we can to witness to people, to tell others about the love of Christ. I'm not sure that our best approach to people coming to Christ Jesus as Savior is the coming wrath of God. I'm gonna first of all think, and in my approach to another person, I'm gonna think along the lines of God's word in the book of Romans it says it's his "kindness that leads to repentance." And I believe that there's a huge draw toward God through his love, through his redemption, through what he does in the midst of our failures and our losses, what he brings to the life and not just what he takes from life."
We shouldn't tell people about the coming wrath?  Then why would the gospel be considered good news??

Ok, let's go through that last part phrase by phrase. Because the first part is pretty good, I have no quarrels with it. But that is what makes the poison palatable.
I'm gonna think along the lines of God's word in the book of Romans it says it's his "kindness that leads to repentance."
Romans 2:4 Beth, what kindness are you thinking of specifically? OH that's right, the rest of that chapter talks about GOD'S WRATH. Specifically let's just look at the very next verse AFTER Romans 2:4 (NASB)
5 But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,
6 who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS:
7 to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life;
8 but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation.
9 There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek,
10 but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
11 For there is no partiality with God.
And it doesn't end there, it keeps going, hammering home judgement and wrath, and how we fully deserve it!  To appeal to Romans as support for this seeker sensitive approach is absolutely preposterous. To appeal to anything in Scripture is ridiculous but Romans is even more completely off the wall!

I guess Paul hadn't heard this particular Beth Moore admonishment before he wrote that. If he had, I'm sure it would have been written differently.
And I believe that there's a huge draw toward God through his love,
Ok Beth, just how is it that God has expressed to us his love... by Christ dying for us... why? To save us from... from what, Beth?  Bad parking spaces?   God's wrath.
through his redemption,
redemption from...?  A messy house?  the IRS?  a bad workplace situation?  A wife who isn't such a good cook?  Well WHAT Beth?  You assume people already KNOW!
through what he does in the midst of our failures and our losses,
Failures and losses? Do you mean our sins and their consequences? Or are we talking failed business ventures here or something else morally innocuous? Speak clearly Beth, you surely have the capability.  PEOPLE NEED TO BE SHOWN THEIR SIN IN THE MIRROR OF GOD'S LAW.

And what is this  "through what he does?"  Do you mean giving us bennies or making our lives bearable?  So now, are we coming to Christ (or appealing to people to come to Christ) for what we can get (e.g. a fixed life, a better personality) or because we believe the gospel (e.g. we are unworthy sinners and rebels against the God who gave us life, we deserve hell, but he out of his great KINDNESS condescended to save us and display his wrath against sin upon his only begotten Son, who voluntarily, out of his great love, took the punishment for the sins of those who believe?)  If you appeal to people to come to Christ for what he can do for them now, you are no different than the Word Faith people.  Just replace 'wealth' or 'health' with 'personal fulfillment' or 'self actualization.'
what he brings to the life and not just what he takes from life.
Again, Beth this is the appeal to what God can do for me. Why do you appeal to people's self centered nature to bring them to Christ? They cannot come that way. The need to turn their back on self, and come to Christ, no matter whether they get any more of what they consider 'benefits.'
And "not just what he takes from life."

What on earth does that mean? I am completely mystified.  I don't even have a clue what she could possibly mean here. Beth Moore is supposed to be a good communicator. But more and more I'm finding that these supposed good communicators (e.g. Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, Joel Osteen etc) are considered good because... they don't SAY anything. No one knows what they mean. So like a newspaper horoscope, we fill in the blanks with our preconceived notions and think they're brilliant because... it's exactly what I think!

Now, this doesn't even touch on her rampant bad hermeneutics and experiential touchy feely therapy session seminars she does. But this all by itself is a big old red flag that she has been bitten by the seeker sensitive bug. That is a particular nasty bug and most people end up shipwrecking their faith because of it. It is much better to be immunized before you are exposed.

With SCRIPTURE.

Here Beth, this is how we should think of God's (admittedly marvelous) benefits to us:

You Have Been Good

(Scott Krippayne/Tony Wood)

If I never get to see another rainbow
Or share another laugh with a friend
If I never stand barefoot by the ocean
Or get to kiss my child goodnight again

If I never have another prayer that’s answered
Or have another blessing come my way
If this is all I know of heaven’s kindness
Father I would still have to say

You have been good
You have been good
And I am in wonder how could it be
You have been good
You’ve been so good
In so many ways you’ve been good to me

You have shown me mercy upon mercy
Grace upon grace time after time
And I know all too well what I’m deserving
Yet you are still so patient and kind

Chorus

If suddenly it all were ending
And your blessings disappeared
Looking back over a lifetime
The evidence is clear

Chorus
