The Emma O thing was an eye opener to me. I don't believe angels are given to us to follow us around and communicate with. They occasionally appeared in Scripture to bring a message, not provide daily direction. But the name I had never heard before... and apparently Bentley and Bob Jones haven't either, or they might have realized they were being led by Satan. However I can't say for sure. When people want anything but the truth, they will remain in denial no matter what evidence is given to them. Pray the Lord will grant Bentley repentance.
I agree with John Sharp, the appearance is the smallest problem I have with him. In fact if he had gotten them before becoming a Christian I probably wouldn't think twice. As John Sharp mentioned, it's the reasons that he got them that are problematic.
God help us, purify Your church!
